Meet Dr Harriet Arrington

Dr. Harriet Arrington is originally from southwestern Virginia. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia at Wise, where she was a member of the Darden Honor Society. During her undergraduate program, Dr. Arrington worked as a college tutor in Biology and Algebra.

Following college, Dr. Arrington attended Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned the distinction of graduating magna cum laude to earn in Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1998. Dr. Arrington was also a member of the Rho Chi honor society during her pharmacy training.

After practicing pharmacy for several years, Dr. Arrington began her dental school training. She earned her DDS degree and graduated with honors in 2004 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. She continued on at UNC to earn her Masters of Science Degree in Periodontology and Certificate of Advanced Study in Periodontology in 2007. During her time at UNC, Dr. Arrington was awarded the American Academy of Periodontology Student Award for Excellence in Periodontics, and the G. Randolph and Ann Babcock Fellowship.

Since graduation, Dr. Arrington has enjoyed working in periodontics. When not seeing patients, she loves spending time with her family, watching her very active kids, nieces, and nephews play sports, and traveling.
