Doctor Harriet Arrington grew up in Virginia where she completed her undergraduate work at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. She went on to attain her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating magna cum laude in 1998. Following graduation, Dr. Arrington took a short break to travel around the United States, and ultimately settled in Mesa, AZ to begin practice as a retail pharmacist. The lure of family brought her back east in 2000, where she decided to continue her academic pursuits at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2004, graduating with honors and, subsequently, her Masters of Science in Periodontology in 2007. Dr. Arrington’s three year residency emphasized both the conservative and surgical treatment of periodontal disease, IV sedation, gingival grafting, dental implants, bone grafting, sinus augmentation and cosmetic surgery. During her residency at UNC, she was awarded the American Academy of Periodontology Student Award for Excellence in Periodontics.
Dr. Arrington joined the practice with Dr. Kim in 2013 after having been in private practice for several years in Fayettville, NC. In addition to a deep commitment to honesty and integrity, Dr. Arrington is proud of the high quality of care that she helps provide at Rocky Mount Periodontics and Implant Center. She is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in the field, completing many hours of continuing professional education annually. She focuses on patient education, empowering those she treats to become active participants in their treatment plans and on-going dental health.
In her free time, Dr. Arrington is active with her church as well as her children’s schools and extracurricular activities. She enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with family. She resides in Morrisville, NC with her two children.
